"Between Money and Freedom"

Prague, Summer 1995

     Driving into the heart of Prague from the airport in 
       the summer heat, I find myself confronted by an 
         enormous billboard for Michael Jackson's HIStory
           -- the King of Pop portraying himself as a
             totalitarian monument, carved in stone,
               looming over a presumably conquered city.
